Nick Spring, Sarah Robinson and their crew farm on the fertile river bottom soil of the Sumas headwaters in Everson, WA. 2021 will be their eighth and busiest season growing Certified Organic vegetables and flowers, and their second year expanding their field production with the CMFC Incubator Farm site.
Sarah and Nick call their farm "a family farm that skipped a generation," because their home property is a retired dairy farm that they are working to restore to agricultural and environmental health. One generation ago, both of their families were involved in agriculture, and the two feel lucky to carry that tradition.
Growing space-intensive crops like potatoes and winter squash at the CMFC Incubator Farm has allowed Springtime to increase their CSA volume to meet consumer demand in Whatcom County and Seattle, as well as expand wholesale production.
